Even though both of them have come to realise how different their experiences have been with men for different motives but they manage to maintain friendly relations even though they don't always agree on everything. Sapna is a new mother and unless she can earn enough money to sustain her family of four, she cannot even think of having a fulfilling life. Rani, on the other hand, has left Chandedsar for Delhi for work and does not wish to return because the villagers ostracised her for contesting against the man who was their saviour until then - the late Shivnarayan Singh. But this is challenged by Sapna and Rani when they form an unlikely alliance and join forces to fight against all odds and build a better future for themselves and their daughters. This leads to unexpected consequences, which leads to a strange but natural outcome. The film is based on true events in the lives of three women. The story is set in the village of Chandedsar in Malwa region of Madhya Pradesh.
